Kathy Tidwell, LCSW -

Kathy Tidwell, LCSW,
business owner.
Kathy started the business in 2000 and facilitated it’s growth
into what it is today. She is now the Director for the Boise
State University School of Social Work Child Welfare Center,
continuing her passion for helping people by managing programs
related to child welfare. She maintains a limited mental health
practice here at the clinic and also supervises new graduates.
She has also continued her involvement in E.P.O.N.A., as non
profit group dedicated to equine assisted psychotherapy.

Linda Lester, LCSW
Linda is a clinical
manager. Linda
provides supervision, direction and program development to our
clinic. She has 25 years post master’s experience in mental
health. She specializes in working with clients who have
experiences severe trauma, utilizing her training in Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy.

Rachael Hall, LCPC
Rachael Hall, LCPC, is a licensed
clinical professional counselor with an MA degree from Pacifica
Graduate Institute. Her clinical skills focus on depression,
anxiety, PTSD. ADHD, adjustment disorders, parent-child conflict,
and family issues. She has experience treating victims of trauma
including sexual abuse, physical abuse and violence. Rachael uses
a combination of expressive art, play, and sand tray therapies
when treating children and takes a solution focused or
cognitive/behavioral approach with teens and adults. She
specializes in animal and equine assisted therapy and is certified
by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association.

Kodi Hurst, LCSW
Kodi Hirst, LCSW, is a license clinical social worker who received
her master’s in social work from Walla Walla University in 2006.
She serves both children and adults, and provides individual,
family and couple’s counseling. Her clinical skills focus on
treating depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, personality
disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders, and sexual, physical and
emotional abuse. Kodi utilizes a combination of expressive
therapy, mindfulness strategies and cognitive behavioral for
effective problem resolution. A combination of sand tray therapy,
expressive therapy and narrative therapy are utilized when Kodi is
working with children.
Kodi is a member of NASW.

Kimi Eames, LMSW
Kimi Eames, LMSW recieved her Masters of Social Work from Boise
State University in 2009. During her time in graduate school, she
was employed at the Boise VA as a practicum student in the
in-patient psychiatric unit. Kimi has been trained to provide
therapy to patients with chronic mental illness using Dialectical
Behavior Therapy. She also recieved training in the residential
PTSD unit at the Boise VA serving combat veterans with PTSD. Kimi
recently had the opportunity to provide social work services in
Kenya, while on a medical mission trip, and hopes to continue her
work abroad. She has a passion for working with trauma
victims and the refugee population in Boise. Kimi has experience
working with adults and children and uses the following therapy
techniques: art, sand tray, Mind Body awareness, Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Kimi is a
member of the Clinical Society of Social Workers and NASW.

Annie Goitein
Annie Goitein is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a Master’s
level Psychologist. She holds a Master of Arts degree in
Psychology from the New School for Social Research (in NYC), which
she earned in 2006, just prior to obtaining her Master’s degree in
Social Work from Boise State University in 2008. Annie has been
in love with the field of mental health and, specifically, culture
and mental health, since her psychology days as a research
assistant in the New School’s Culture and Mental Health lab, and
since her undergraduate days at Northwestern University as a
student of comparative religions. Her academic and clinical
interests especially lie in the areas of mindfulness practice and
cognitive and behavioral therapy, as well as in working with
children and with adults, utilizing her diverse background and
training not only in psychology and in social work, but also as a
certified yoga instructor, and from her experience working in the
school setting as a Kindergarten teacher in a special education
inclusion classroom. Annie enjoys working with children and
adults of all ages, and is so happy to be able to serve both our
refugee and non-refugee populations! She specializes in providing
cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy,
incorporating play and art therapy in her work with children, and
providing psycho-education to her clients of all ages and
developmental levels. |

Tony Allmaras
Tony received his Master of Social Work Degree from Boise State
University in 2008 and his Bachelor’s from Jamestown College in
Jamestown ND in 1978. Tony has much experience working with
teenagers through his 14 years at Rocky Mountain Academy in North
Idaho and his 12 years teaching and coaching in North Dakota.
Tony has worked in the mental health field for the past 5 years,
working with adolescents and adults. Tony has three grown
daughters who all live in Boise. He enjoys snow skiing, rafting,
outdoor activities, spending time with his family and is an avid
football fan. |

Linda Brock
Linda Brock worked in the legal field for fifteen years before
coming to Tidwell Social Work. Her experience also includes twelve
years of business office management while working for Flahiff
Funeral Chapels. In addition to basic office management duties,
she has also taken on the responsibility of bookkeeping for our
clinic.

Larry Lutz, MS
Larry Lutz, MS, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and
a National Certified Counselor, specializing in adolescents and
couples therapy. He received his Bachelors’ degree in psychology
from Boise State University and his Masters’ degree in marriage
and family therapy from Northwest Nazarene University. He is
retired United States Air Force. He resides in Mountain Home with
his wife of 27 years and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He
uses a cognitive-behavioral agentive approach to help families
develop and maintain happiness in their relationships, and is
certified in the use of the Prepare & Enrich program for
premarital & marital counseling. In addition to contracting with
Tidwell Social Work Services and Consulting, he maintains a
private practice in Mountain Home; New Hope Counseling, where he
specializes in treatment for military personnel and their
families.

Susan Harrell, LMFT
Susan Harrell, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
who received her MA degree from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa,
California. Sue
is shown here with our other office/therapy dog, Sammy. Sammy is a
wonderful Corgi who loves people, but does not like to have
a leash put on him. He is a free spirit.
She has been in clinical practice since 1990 in
Washington State and has served from 2004 through 2008 in Malawi,
Uganda and Sierra Leone, Africa doing groups and individual
counseling for orphaned and traumatized men, women and children.
Susan works with all ages of individuals, specializing in trauma
work, sexual abuse, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, as well
as play therapy for children. She is trained in
cognitive-behavioral therapy and is a certified EMDR therapist.
Her approach to therapy is based upon seeing each individual as a
whole person; therefore, emphasizing all aspects of that wholeness
(emotional, mental, interpersonal, behavioral and spiritual) as it
relates to the problem being addressed. Susan and her husband
recently moved to Boise in order to be close to their first
grandchild as well as enjoy the sun and the beauty of Idaho. |

Sara, Blue Eyes
Sara has
been a therapy dog for over three years. She is very
compassionate, tolerant, loves people of all ages, and enjoys a
good game of fetch. She is a border collie with one blue eye. When
not working, her hobbies include checking on the horses and
herding the cats. |
